  1. That's because a little bit of the yellow needs to be coming through the veil, right?
  2. The digital files that you're selling shouldn't be over 5MB anyway. What quality level did you end up choosing, to get it under that mark? Whichever suits your workflow. They're the same in terms of quality. You must must must must MUST renew the Sharpening Class. The new module will blow your mind.
  3. To answer that, I need to know more about the purpose for which you're saving. You mentioned a "card company". What are you working on, exactly?
  4. Yeah, 12 is ridiculous. They're great, thanks. Hope you and yours are well too.
  5. I'm sorry, I can't hang around any longer. I have to dash to get the kids. I'm asking for the 100% crop because I want to be sure you've removed all the noise. Noise is a HUGE factor in file size: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2015/08/about-jpeg-file-size.html As long as it's clean, then all you need to do is choose a low enough quality level for the save, so that it's below 5MB. It shouldn't be any trouble at all.
  6. Thanks, that's more like it. Next, can you show me a 100% crop from the image? Also, when you saved the jpeg from your PSD master file, do you remember what quality level you chose?
  7. By the way, in your thread title you mentioned 80MB. Where did that size come from?
  8. Was this a typo, somehow? Or is a REALLY long and skinny file?
  9. That's pretty much meaningless. What size is it on your hard drive?
  10. What file format is it saved in presently? And what are its pixel dimensions?
  11. No, honestly, it doesn't suck. It's just how it is.
  12. Yeah, of course. It was ever thus. The only completely reliable view is 100%. 50% and 25% are ok. The others are terrible.
  13. Toward the bottom of this page: https://www.damiensymonds.net/act_webX.html
  14. That's correct. Sharpening for projector is the same as sharpening for web, in my opinion.
  15. In years past, the poor screens on laptops meant we couldn't even consider them as viable options. Nowadays, there are more laptops being made with IPS screens, so our options are much broader. I have an Asus "Republic of Gamers" laptop and its screen is exquisite. However, on thing never changes. I wrote about it at the end of this article.
  16. Is this the same camera you've always used? If so, can you open a previous file from it, and make sure it's not doing this too?
  17. According to Google, it's very easy. https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT202945 By the way, can you read this to make sure you're doing it properly?
  18. Don't worry about that for now. I just want to know if you can still save individual PDFs ok.
  19. Also with PDF presentation? What about plain Save As?
  20. It's probably akin to this one, but nowhere near as aggressive of course.
  21. Awesome. I bet you'll notice it runs a lot better.
  22. No they're not. https://www.damiensymonds.net/art_tsfb000.html
