  1. For a jpeg, just open it in Photoshop first, then go to Filter>Camera Raw
  2. Can you explain why you want to open JPEGs in camera raw? Hell, why do you have JPEGs at all?
  3. This is absolutely the problem.
  4. This is completely correct. You must ALWAYS open a raw file into Camera Raw first. PLEASE don't wait any longer to take the Raw Class
  5. You definitely don't want that. You need to have it set to the default "Automatically open JPEGs with Settings".
  6. I can't remember if you told me, are all your programs completely up to date?
  7. Okay, and when you double-click on that raw file, what happens? Just ... nothing?
  8. Of course it's greyed out when you don't have a raw file selected. Are you saying that even when you have a raw file selected, THEN it's greyed out?
  9. May I see a screenshot of this?
  10. The watermark has to be partially over the most important part of the photo, if it's for security. However, in this day of AI that's pretty pointless, I'm afraid.
  11. Well, neither of the photos you showed me are in any way prevented from image theft. That logo could be cropped or edited out in a second.
  12. For what purpose are you adding a logo? Is it simply to advertise yourself, or is it also to prevent image theft?
  13. Broadly speaking, the Asus ProArt is the higher-regarded of those two monitors. In my personal experience, I've always been very impressed with Acer monitors. For the budget, that one look good.
  14. Select all the files in Bridge, then go to Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor
  15. Ah ha. You'll have to find the equivalent settings in Finder.
  16. So the association for .NEF is Photoshop?
  17. https://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/16951-br2-09/
  18. I'm so sorry, there's nothing can be done to improve this.
  19. May I see a 100% crop? https://damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
  20. Yeah, I figured the problem had to be coming from outside Photoshop. No doubt the syncing is causing the problem. Can you set it to only sync at a time when you're not actively working?
  21. PLEASE turn extensions on like a grown-up. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2012/02/view-your-filename-extensions-windows.html
  22. Next time you're saving one, can you show me a screenshot of the save window?
  23. Gotta be apples and apples, remember. That photo of the two men is taken in overcast light. It matters.
