Oh, I think the sun spot is plausible.
I think this looks great.

For the record, this is incredibly difficult. Don't assume that you suck just because you can't make it look amazing. I can't either.
As it happens, I think you've done really well. I just think there should be more on his leg right up under the bend in her knee.

Great! Now add a D&B layer and work on burning some artistic shadowing where needed.
-
If you turn that layer off and on a few more times, you'll see a spot you missed on her skirt. Also, blend the sand above his leg a bit more gently.
-
There's still an edge on the sand, at the bottom.

I agree, but finish your masking first.

Gee, I think it has potential!

Gosh, yeah, maybe!

I don't see anything there that will help, I fear
I don't know what to do

To be honest, I don't think you'll find it satisfactory. I never have - it's hard to read.
It's better to have all-black text with a white stroke around it; or all-white text with a black stroke around it.

Oh gosh.
Do you have any other photos, from which you could borrow more of her skirt to stretch it down over her knees?
-
I think what you want is to make the text all white, then put its layer blend mode on "Difference".

No, it's a Levels Class question, actually.

Yes, 1050 isn't a Facebook size. For the very best results, use 960px PNG files, or 2048 JPEG files, for Facebook.

I hear you but if someone wants to steel an image, they will, so I want to use my watermark as advertising. I think watermarks are ugly on an image and distract but I guess I should look at making mine more attractive however in saying that I will never put it anywhere other than a corner of a photo so it can still be cropped off.
What?

I doubt it. It'll probably mess with your logo size and position.
-
That's right. But that's slowing everyone down.

If you make your web images 1050px, instead of your outrageous 2188, your website will run faster.

While you're at it, turn off the "Show Transform Controls" one as well, if you like. That thing irritates me. (But I know some people love it)

Yes, I agree with Christina. It'll have to be a transplant from another photo. There's no way to fix this.
