  1. Perfect. So, what you need to do is set up your kettle in front of a black backdrop. As it boils, take various photos of the white steam against the black. Save them all to your "steam library". When editing them, make sure the black is perfectly black - 0/0/0 values. Then, it's easy enough to File>Place one of those files onto your photo, and immediately change its blend mode to "Screen". Then play with its rotation, size and opacity to your desire.
  2. Did you follow my instructions to the letter?
  3. Are you able to provide me with a link to you website so I can see it there?
  4. No, your colour space is fine. Can you send me the exact file you sent to the lab?
  5. There's no breath in any of those photos.
  6. Did you ever post yours in colour?
  7. Well, the first step is to calibrate another computer with the Express, to see if the same problem happens there.
  8. Ok, I've removed you from the Raw Class Deluxe waiting list. Once you have a new screen, and it's successfully calibrated, get your name back on the list.
  9. It shouldn't matter, really, but I'd tend to do it early in the workflow.
  10. I wish I had some kind of magic fix for you. All I can suggest is this, and a LOT of patience.
  11. Yep, that's CCFL, all right. Have you completely uninstalled and reinstalled the Munki software?
  12. May we see how it turned out?
  13. DNG is absolutely fine. You're worrying about the wrong thing. In and of itself, DNG isn't your problem here. Your problem is that Adobe software won't recognise the edits that you made in DXO. So you'd need to export as jpegs from DXO in order to bring them home, and I bet you don't want to do that.
  14. Oh gee, transplanting hair isn't easy.
  15. Gosh, yeah, look at that! Did she have it in both ears? Do you have a photo of her other ear without it?
  16. It doesn't have to be much. I think this is ok:
  17. Well, the easiest way, as I see it, would be to increase mum's bust a bit. I'm not sure how you (or she) would feel about that option, though?
  18. They look fine. No discolouration. May I have a link to your screen's specs?
  19. This is absurd. Why are you subjecting your workflow to this nonsense?
  20. Dust & Scratches filter at about 25/6 should do it. But you won't be able to allow the D&S layer to be masked too close to the hair. Near and in the hair, you'll need to do it manually, with cloning.
  21. Add a Channel Mixer layer, go to the Blue Channel, and change from 0/0/100 to 0/90/0.
  22. Then yes, can you post a couple of those files with people wearing black?
