As long as your ceiling is white.

This is exactly why I don't recommend lamps. They're too directional.
Was ceiling light not an option in your space?

Concentrate on the computer for now. If you have to use your existing monitor for a little longer while you save for another one, that's ok.
Where are you? Which country, I mean?

The fade looks great!!! You nailed it.
Parts of the baby's skin look a bit green to me, though. Or cyan, perhaps.

I've heard other people say that too. I don't know, sorry. Funny ol' Facebook.

Yeah, that looks better.

DO NOT GET ONE OF THOSE.

Hi Cynthia, have a browse through the Ask Brian section. This is been discussed a number of times.
-
Lovely.
What's your intention for the background? It would be very easy to replace it, to remove that clutter. Do you intend to do so?
-
Ok, good, so the TOGGLE profile isn't corrupt.
I'm so sorry, I don't know. Everything seems to be working the way it should, I don't know why you're not seeing your screen change when you choose TOGGLE.
-
Good, so does mine. So we know the DisplayProfile app is working that far, at least.
What about if you open a photo (any photo) in Photoshop, go to Edit>Assign Profile, and assign the "TOGGLE" profile. Do you see a difference to the photo? It should make it slightly lighter and a bit duller in colour.
-
If you click on one of the "gmmp" profiles, does it throw you an error message?
-
That sure is odd.
Have you restarted since the last calibration?
-
So when you click on TOGGLE, then back again, you see no change?
-
No, that's not what I meant at all.
Read the instructions again.

Nothing happens when I toggle back and forth between your profile and my new profile. Do you think this is a Window 10 issue?
It works fine for me on Win10.
May I see a screenshot of your DisplayProfile program?

If I need to use Filter > Adaptive Wide Angle, do I apply it/save it in the PSD file or this does with the other "output tools" (resized, cropped, sharpened)?
I would do it in the PSD. Actually, I would do it as the very first step in Photoshop. It would be considered part of "Step 2" in this process.

yes
Then that suggests a faulty calibrator, wouldn't you think? Have you raised this with X-Rite?

Is the problem exactly the same as with the previous monitor? Both "pink blurry messes"?
-
What calibrator is it?
-
Turn off "Show Backdrop".
-
Further to that, have you ever soft-proofed?
-
Oh, I'm sure I've heard of a plug-in that will do this, but I can't remember it
I'm going to move this post to the general discussion area, in hopes that somebody else knows.

No, sorry. Look for a sharper one.

Yeah, one light wouldn't be enough, I'd say. Your light needs to be lovely and bright.
