Oh crap. They're all bad, except for maybe Black River. I'm not sure about it. Definitely never use Bay, Millers or Mpix.
-
Bay Photo print too warm. You MUST get test prints from a new lab, pronto. They're bullshitting you.
-
Oh fuck.
-
Which lab do you print with, by the way?
-
No you don't. Have you ever been to their house/office/studio to see it for yourself?
-
Any other rooms in your house with whiter light, that could be your editing space?
-
Is there any chance you could just take the easy path and only edit during the day?
-
What's the next option for bulbs? The next highest number?
-
Gee. 5000K definitely should be white enough.
-
Remind me what bulbs you have at the moment?
-
Ok, stick to 70 for luminance when you recalibrate, but yeah, try D55.
-
Probably 70 for luminance. White point D50 I suppose?
-
You're on "Basic". You're supposed to be on "Advanced". Per this slide.
-
Whoa, hang on. You have an X-Rite?
-
No they're not Your room light is still warm. The prints are fine. Can you give me the link of the page of instructions that didn't appear for you?
-
Yes, but still a tad darker. So lower the screen's brightness so it matches exactly, then calibrate again.
-
Yes, but didn't you say that your screen is still brighter than your prints?
-
Just follow the instructions, they'll guide you about this. Lower the brightness of your screen to match the prints, then calibrate again just the same.
-
Maybe now is the right time to try recalibrating.

Using Bridge and an external drive

I would certainly make sure that Bridge could read the drive before I began copying files to it. -

Yes, Bridge is simply a browser. It can see your photos anywhere. -
I don't think so.
-
The lights. It's possible that your screen already matches your prints, you just don't know it yet.
-
I don't understand the question, sorry.

You have to make your room lit the same at night as it would be during the day. That's all.
