This method might be worth a try: http://www.damiensymonds.net/2011/01/ridding-pesky-rainbows.html But Damien may have a better solution with levels for you when he gets on!

If the video is posted on her business page, could it be possible that you are located in one of the countries she has blocked from viewing her business page? Also, could it be possible that the video is on her personal page, and you are not on her friend's list and therefore can't see it? I was able to look up her page, and found a video posted about 4 hours ago so I'm guessing it's the same one. Does this link work for you? https://www.facebook.com/nurturedwithlovephotography/videos/vb.589023301134271/1017147674988496/?type=2&theater -
I can't see any banding in the image you posted. Worse case scenario, you just replace the sky - which should be pretty easy to do. I don't think it'll come to that though!
-
Damien might want to look at the raw file, but it sounds like it could just be your monitor and not an issue with the file itself.
-
In what program are you noticing the banding? In ACR on the raw file before or after editing? Or in PS after you have done some editing?

Achieving this look
Samantha LaRue replied to Ali's topic in How to achieve a certain look or effect
Hi Ali, can you take a look over the posting guidelines real quick? -
I'd try either this method: http://www.damiensymonds.net/2011/10/blanket-fade-tutorial.html Or this one: http://www.damiensymonds.net/2012/10/using-photoshops-gradient-layer.html They are both essentially the same method, just one with a solid color layer, and the other with a gradient. And don't forget to add a noise layer at the end: http://www.damiensymonds.net/tut_noise.html

Re. Banding - blanket fade
Samantha LaRue replied to Kathy Elliston's topic in Questions about tutorials and articles
Is this the tutorial you've been following for noise? http://www.damiensymonds.net/tut_noise.html It explains the blend mode and the opacity for this layer towards the bottom of the tutorial. -

Did you go to the levels adjustments panel and click the dropper there? I don't see that panel visible in your screenshot. -
Photoshop colours
Samantha LaRue replied to RinaPow's topic in Photoshop / Elements / Bridge / ACR questions or problems
What programs are you viewing your images in when you notice them changing colors? You should only be comparing how your images look within colormanaged programs such as Bridge or PS. -
Screen consistently too cold
Samantha LaRue replied to lucillephoto's topic in Monitor calibration questions or problems
No, lower numbers are warmer. It's the opposite of what you're use to seeing in ACR or LR. -
Screen consistently too cold
Samantha LaRue replied to lucillephoto's topic in Monitor calibration questions or problems
There is nothing you can do about the fact that your phone looks different from your monitor. I suppose you could calibrate your phone too, but it won't change the fact that everyone else will be seeing your images on their own phones - and those screens will probably display a slight different color temp as well. The best thing for you to do is focus your efforts on calibrating your monitor to match your prints. First thing I'd look at is the right in your room. Is it as good as it can be? Or could it be too warm and dim? (yes, natural light can be too warm and dim) Once you've taken care of the light in your room, I'd go down to the bottom of the tutorial and look at the troubleshooting section. http://www.damiensymonds.net/cal_S5P_mac.html Since you feel your monitor is cooler compared to your prints, I'd try using the next lower kelvin value and follow the instructions for recalibrating from that point. -
Bridge
Samantha LaRue replied to Stacey6681's topic in Photoshop / Elements / Bridge / ACR questions or problems
You can't edit at all in Bridge. When you open a raw file in Bridge, it opens up ACR (adobe camera raw), which is what I was assuming you were referring to? If you'd take a screenshot of whatever it is that you're seeing when you are experiencing your problem that will help a lot. -
Sorry, delete what? You can leave your post here until you have done the session, just post your image in the comments once the session has been completed.

Have you taken a peek at the posting guidelines yet? Damien will need a photo of your own to work with. http://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/107-read-this-first-posting-guidelines-and-download-files/

Bridge
Samantha LaRue replied to Stacey6681's topic in Photoshop / Elements / Bridge / ACR questions or problems
Yes, you can open multiple photos going from Bridge to ACR at one time. Can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing when you try to open your images? Also, it looks like you forgot to fill out the hard drive section of the computer health form. How much free space do you have, and how large is your hard drive? -
Maximizing details through sunny window
Samantha LaRue replied to Mariann Wilson's topic in Help with editing
This page should answer all your questions about what to buy: http://www.damiensymonds.net/what2buy.html Having an external monitor is definitely recommended, but it is possible to calibrate a laptop screen as well. You'll need a calibrator of course, with either option. -
I can still faintly see the shadow in the last one you just posted. I think you may have reduce the opacity on the gradient layer by accident?
