  1. Oh boy! I've never had a question like this before! May I see them up close?
  2. This can't possibly be the right white balance. Her hair is kinda purple. There's a white truck in the distance (right-hand side of the photo) which you can use for white balance.
  3. Ok, go ahead and adjust the mask a bit. (And remove the mask completely from the Color layer.
  4. Is there moire in the shadow area down the left-hand side? Is that why you included that area?
  5. Okay, may I have a 100% crop from the chest area too?
  6. Is the moire all over her shirt? I thought it was only on the lower right quadrant?
  7. Try this and let me know how it goes. https://max.mailbigfile.com/fa7f932fe0e6215e90cc18e3a7353dd2/listFiles.php
  8. The moire can't be fixed while there is clipping (both ends of the histogram). Visit your raw processing again.
  9. Yep, I can help with that! Go ahead and do your clean processing on your photo, then post it again for me.
  10. Come on Sandro, you know better than this. Shut down every day.
  11. That sure is weird. Is it like this on every photo you try opening?
  12. Yes, but you're a long way from there yet. Gotta get back to class!
  13. Oh bummer I have to say ... your edit looks worse than the scan.
  14. Do you have the physical photo, or only this scan?
  15. There's barely any detail there, is there? I don't know how to fix this, sorry.
  16. Could you send me the raw file? https://spaces.hightail.com/uplink/BellePhotography
  17. Oh gee. White glare is the WORST Is it a raw file?
  18. Put a white Solid Color layer beneath everything, so you can properly see what it's doing.
  19. Okay, let's try a different way. Instead of doing that Levels thing, add a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer, and move Brightness to -70.

  21. Okay, I don't know why it's making a lighter version, but I think I know a way to fix it. Single-click on the mask thumbnail in the layers panel. Then press Cmd L to open a Levels window. Grab the middle slider and move it ALL the way to the left.
