  1. No, you're reading the wrong instructions. Use the correct ones please. https://www.damiensymonds.net/calibration.html
  2. I'm so sorry mate, Photoshop is the only software I know.
  3. Hi @Wayne, welcome. I'm not sure how long you've "known" me, so I'm not sure how many of my articles you've read. Have you seen this one?
  4. Also, this: https://www.damiensymonds.net/art_tscs000.html
  5. What the heck????? PLEASE fix your screen brightness problem.
  6. How did it go, @Rosemarie David?
  7. When you first lower your screen's brightness to where it correctly matches the prints, you're likely to HATE it. But I promise, within a week you'll be wondering how you ever tolerated it so bright before.
  8. No, sorry While you're waiting for the calibrator to arrive, can you at least compare your screen to prints, and turn its brightness down to match them?
  9. Oh gee, this is bad. We can't continue while your photo is so dreadfully dark. PLEASE buy a monitor calibrator as soon as you can.
  10. That's right, yes.
  11. Oh, phew. It's vitally important never to commence any Photoshop work before the raw processing is done. Because once Photoshop work has commenced, you can't go back, you know? So go ahead and do your raw processing on this photo, then post it for me again.
  12. Did you shoot raw?
  13. I can help with this easily. But you'll need to post the actual photo for me, since screenshots aren't colour-managed.
  14. Would you like to see the PSD of my edit?
  15. I'm not Brian, and I'm sure he'll have all the wisdom in the world for you when he next logs in, but may I ask the silly question? Did you remember to empty your Trash?
  16. Yeah, I reckon so.

  18. Well I'll be damned, the original link doesn't work any more. Can you find it again?
  19. Hi @Bernadette, it could be a number of things. First, could you do this for me? https://www.damiensymonds.net/thread1.html
  20. Gosh, tough one. How does this look? https://max.mailbigfile.com/e847ce54e8afe9be7580fb35eb1ba0d4/listFiles.php
  21. The method is different for every photo. This is really rubbish quality because I'm working with a low quality web file, but do you think it has potential?
  22. We can make a silhouette from your photo, for sure. But it won't look the same as that one.
  23. Of course not. Your lighting is nothing like that.
