  1. If it were possible to do something passable with the sky (and I'm afraid I'm not optimistic) did you have another photo of the eldest son in focus ready to swap in?
  2. Can you send me the raw file? https://spaces.hightail.com/uplink/BellePhotography
  3. Well ... this is a joke, right? You're pulling my leg? "I'll pretend that I don't know how to do raw editing, that'll make Damien chuckle!"
  4. Well, I figure that our options with the sky will be dictated by how much tree detail can be recovered. Go ahead and do your raw processing then show me the SOOR.
  5. Also, I figure he'll need to know about your gear - camera and lenses.
  6. Brian will need to see examples.
  7. Try the matching thing first. It may not work as well as advertised, but it can't hurt to try.
  8. Thanks. When you do, can you also show me a 100% crop from the master file? (That is, without the resizing or sharpening for print).
  9. Yeah, almost. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
  10. Yes, but that's not stopping you. All you need to do is join them again and post a few. You can be in the Skin Class by this time tomorrow if you apply yourself.
  11. I'm pretty sure you know the answer to this one, mate
  12. https://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/131-read-this-first-posting-guidelines/
  13. No, you definitely haven't. https://www.damiensymonds.net/trainingskin.html
  14. What do you mean, help? Take the damn class, you mug!
  15. Oh @Jan Mac, this is SUCH a good question, and one I've struggled with myself. It begins by positioning the photo carefully enough when photographing to avoid glare and reflection as much as possible. But that is never the whole story. The second part of the story is in the editing, and it usually involves Channel Mixer. May I see one of your problematic images?
  16. That's only a problem if you try to liquify too precisely. Make it nice and big. Download PSD
  17. The first one looks similar enough, I reckon. It might work.
