  1. Ah bummer. No, still too much sharpening. You'll have to re-do the raw file with the Sharpness slider on 0.
  2. Ah. Well, take that rubbish off, and post the 100% crop again.
  3. May I see a screenshot of your Detail (noise) panel in raw for this photo? I fear you've applied much too much sharpening.
  4. Not quite the right size, sorry. Can you read over the instructions again?
  5. The photo itself is not crooked, it's just the view. Go to Edit>Preferences>Performance. In that window, there will be a checkbox saying either "Use OpenGL" or "Use Graphics Processor" ... something like that. Turn off that checkbox. Then you might need to restart Photoshop.
  6. Hi Julie, I need to see it at 100%: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
  7. I have to turn in, I'm beat. I'll check in on you when I get up in the morning.

  9. May I have more info? How do you know it's not working?
  10. Please don't say that. You've made an excellent start - much better than some other people.
  11. Search my articles for "patch tool".
  12. Windows shouldn't really enter into it. You should be viewing them in, and opening them from, Bridge. PLEASE don't wait too long to take the Bridge Class. It's only $10, and packed full of really important info. Now that you can open them, the first step is to zoom in to 100% on one of them in ACR, and make sure the image quality is ok. There's a known issue where some DNG files don't work in older ACR, they have a weird grid pattern when viewed up close.
  13. Something is wrong here. They should convert with exactly the same names as their corresponding CR2 files.
  14. What do you think of it, @sla453?

  16. Just do exactly what I typed. Although now that you've changed the photo, 30% layer opacity might be too high.
  17. Ok, great! Then yes, you can do some more colour boosting on your RGB master file if it pleases you. But of course, do exactly what you said and watch the CMYK conversion very carefully for "dying" colours.
