Hi Wally, this is a very good question. Does the design only contain photos? If so, then no, there's no difference between a jpeg and a pdf. In fact, your photos will simply be jpegs inside the pdf. I've found that Brother laser printers don't have a very long life. I'm caught in a loop with mine, buying new parts for it. I probably would have been wiser just to replace it.

No, I promise, the Camera Raw filter allows you to edit this jpeg photo in roughly the same way you'd edit a raw file. Follow the procedure from the Raw Class.

Ah, don't worry, that's easy peasy. You just need to go to Edit>Convert to profile. Choose sRGBiec blah blah blah as the Destination space. THEN you should be able to do the Camera Raw filter.

By the way, what are the pixel dimensions of the couple photo?

Great! Then the first step when you open the couple photo in Photoshop should be to go to Filter>Camera Raw, and do your "raw" processing there. The file won't respond as well as if it was an actual raw file of course, but you can fix the white balance and make some other adjustments. Then post it for me.

It doesn't say "px" after the numbers in the Crop Tool options bar. That's why it's not actually cropping to pixel size.

May I see a screenshot with your Crop Tool selected so I can see its settings?

No, the submenu in the layers panel itself. The tiny three lines at the top right corner.

Oh yeah, it just means your layer thumbnail size has been set to "None". It happens to everyone from time to time, and nobody knows why. Just go to the Layers panel submenu and choose "Panel Options". Choose a size for your thumbnails in there.

You'd make a big selection of a good area, like this: You'd hit Ctrl J to put that on its own layer. Then you'd move it down to where it needs to be. Then add a mask and carefully mask it. Oh, you'd probably need to distort it a little bit to make the perspective correct as well.
