  1. Of course never look at your stupid home prints. Only the ProDPI prints. Have you recalibrated to make your screen match the ProDPI prints?
  2. I guess you'd have to copy good detail from higher up the box. It'll be darn tricky though.
  3. Bridge of course. https://www.damiensymonds.net/bridge-30-day-challenge/
  4. No, shit no, not Lightroom!
  5. Great. Can you go ahead and do your raw processing on the photo (don't forget the noise removal) then post it again for me?
  6. Hi @Natbatt, did you shoot raw?
  7. This one, do you mean? Yes it does.
  8. It's perfectly okay, don't worry. It doesn't matter where or how they were edited, as long as: they're sRGB; and they were printed by your regular pro lab.

  10. Come on @Kiwiellis. Your year of membership has half gone already.
  11. Well, it must have been a recent update to Photoshop. So I think you should go to your Creative Cloud app and roll back to the previous version. Other people have had to do this too, for various reasons.
  12. Where are these raw files? Are they on your internal hard drive?
  13. That should all be fine. From Bridge, there are two ways to open a raw file. One is Ctrl O (for "Open") and the other is Ctrl R. Can you try both and see if one works better than the other?

  15. You can remove noise from a jpeg to a degree.
  16. Never the grey one. It behaves terribly. But yes, often the black one too.

  18. Okay. Looks good.
  19. Are you applying that sharpening, or is it in the print?
  20. Did you try this, though? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/10/tips-for-photographing-old-photos-for.html
  21. I'm confused. Did you find a better scanner to scan it? Or did you take a raw photo of it?
  22. Have you read this? https://www.damiensymonds.net/scanning-guidelines-for-old-photo-restoration/
  23. Bummer Do you have a desktop screen you can plug in to the laptop?
