Yeah, you're not the first person to mention this glitch. It's very annoying. Have you continued on to complete the calibration; and if so, how was the print match?

If your screen is too bright, lower the luminance target. 6500K is not the problem there. 100 is the problem.

What's your assessment? Do you think the lab has printed your new prints differently from the older prints?

Oh, right, I understand now. This is just a simple matter of Levels. Select that dark area, add a Levels layer and clip it to the cat layer, then use the black eyedropper to get the weight right. https://www.damiensymonds.net/levels-eyedropper

Do you still have those prints? If they are still perfect, then it would mean you have simply received a bad batch of prints this time, you know?

Yes, ignore those numbers. They don't matter a bit.

In your screenshot, your crop tool is set to "Ratio" in the Options Bar, which is exactly correct ... but you haven't typed 15 and 11 in the fields?

Always with the Crop Tool. It can't work with Image Size, because mathematics (it will be out of proportion, as you say). Can you show me a screenshot of how you're cropping to 11:15?

Great, they're smart objects. So just add Gaussian Blur to the layer, then mask it on only where needed, on the mask of the smart filter.

I completely agree with you. I have blurred sharp areas of photos many times, in order to attain consistency. It hurts my soul to blur good focus of course, but you have to do what you have to do.

If you can't manage to make your screen match both of them, concentrate mainly on the WHCC ones.

Well, let's not rush into that just yet. What about after you've copied all the files onto your computer? Does that make any difference?

That sure is odd. What about in the Preview panel? Can you see them there?
