  1. Take a look at the top of screen, just below the "Window" menu.
  2. Come on @Amy Wilson!
  3. Hi @JuliaHostetler, do you mind doing this for me to start?
  4. The ones that only open in Photoshop - are they ok, quality-wise? In particular, are they full size?
  5. Don't keep me in suspense, @Amy Wilson!
  6. How did it go, @Amy Wilson?
  7. Good! Instructions here: https://www.damiensymonds.net/calibration-instructions/
  8. Talk to me, @Amy Wilson. In what way does your screen differ from your prints?
  9. Yep. While you're there, make sure "Auto Select Layer" remains unchecked. That awful thing should never be checked.
  10. No, of course you can't, not while you have the Crop Tool selected. As you said, you need the Move Tool.
  11. Ok, show me a screenshot of that. Also, make sure your Layers panel, and all the others, are visible in your screenshot.
  12. By the way, can you update your profile details? It still says "Elements".
  13. That's the crop tool. I thought you said the issue was with the marquee tool? Maybe you'd better explain the problem a bit further.
  14. Dell's website says: That means Standard LED. Most screens are Standard LED, in truth.
  15. They should come from a printer that's a step above a supermarket kiosk, if you know what I mean. Do you have a camera store near you? They'll probably do printing. https://www.damiensymonds.net/cal_starthere.html
  16. Hi @poorejj, I completely agree, it often is very difficult to find out the exact technology in our screens. Even though you're not into photography, you do still need some prints in order to calibrate. Do you have some?
  17. I have an Asus TUF laptop, and its screen is really really good. <-- my two cents
  18. I think I just figured out what you're doing wrong. You're following the wrong instructions. You should be following these.
  19. Yay!
  20. I think it's mainly characterised by the nice dark (but gentle) vignette. And the very aggressive skin smoothing of course.
  21. I don't know, I'm so sorry. I can't understand why this would have happened.
  22. Bummer. Ok, then yes, you'd better recalibrate.
  23. Yes, because the TOGGLE one has a (*) beside it, don't you see?
