Yes, I strongly encourage it. It means re-learning your editing, but it doesn't take too long. All the info you need is in the class. The newer versions handle very bright areas better than the 2010 version.

May I see a screenshot of your Detail (noise) panel in raw for this photo? I fear you've applied much too much sharpening.
