  2. Hi @Luluhw, sorry about my delayed reply. First, could you do this for me? https://www.damiensymonds.net/thread2.html
  3. I don't need you to show me just her neck. I just need that 700x700 file.
  4. I don't need just the neck. I just need that 700x700 square.
  5. Yep, you're doing it exactly right.
  6. They are what they are. Just try to make them all roughly similar brightness, but accept that you can't create detail where none exists.
  7. Darn And no chance of getting the real photos?
  8. Do you have the physical photos, or only scans?
  9. No, try again. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
  10. May I see it up close? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
  11. Why does it concern you? It's perfectly natural, no different from any of the shadows on her face.
  12. Are you talking about the line of shadow from her jaw?
  13. I don't understand the question. What's wrong with it?
  14. I got it, and yes, your email is definitely shrinking the photo. Bigpond is notorious for this.
  15. They're still PSD files, don't worry. See the file names? They say ".psd" at the end. So this is just a simple associations issue. Right-click on one of those files and choose "Open with > Choose another app". In the list that comes up, choose Photoshop, and check the box that says "Always use this app", before pressing OK.
  16. In that case, your email program is shrinking the photo. That's very common. So instead of emailing, ask the magazine if they have some kind of dropbox where you can submit the image. Actually, I could check this hypothesis for you. Could you email the photo to me? info@damiensymonds.net
  17. You never "bring files into Bridge". Bridge is a browser. Bridge just looks at your files wherever you saved them.
  18. Yes ... I'm sure if you zoom in that large in Photoshop it looks like that too?
  19. I'm so sorry Susie, I don't know of a way that doesn't involve masking around the words either.
