  1. Soft-proofing should be the solution, actually. But it relies on the labs providing you with a super-accurate soft-proofing profile. Crossing my fingers!
  2. Okay, go ahead and run Glary right away: https://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/22347-glary01/
  3. Can you do this for me? https://www.damiensymonds.net/thread1.html
  4. That is REALLY weird. If you press OK, can you go ahead and use Liquify anyway?
  5. May we have a link to the monitor's specs?
  6. That's correct, with the card in frame. Can you do this for me? https://www.damiensymonds.net/thread2.html
  7. They literally print it this size, then cut off the extra 3mm all around. It's standard printing procedure. If you don't provide that size, they'll enlarge your file, then print then cut. So you'll lose the edges of your photos that you want to keep. That's why you need to give them the extra.
  8. Thanks. Have you included the 3mm bleed as instructed? It'll need to be 222.6 x 22.6 cm.
  9. What else did they ask? What colour space have they told you to use? RGB or CMYK?
  10. Hi Wally, this is a very good question. Does the design only contain photos? If so, then no, there's no difference between a jpeg and a pdf. In fact, your photos will simply be jpegs inside the pdf. But if there are other elements - eg text or logos - then PDF is crucial. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/05/making-pdfs-from-photoshop.html
  11. I've found that Brother laser printers don't have a very long life. I'm caught in a loop with mine, buying new parts for it. I probably would have been wiser just to replace it.
  12. No, I promise, the Camera Raw filter allows you to edit this jpeg photo in roughly the same way you'd edit a raw file. Follow the procedure from the Raw Class.
  13. Ah, don't worry, that's easy peasy. You just need to go to Edit>Convert to profile. Choose sRGBiec blah blah blah as the Destination space. THEN you should be able to do the Camera Raw filter.
  14. Great! Then the first step when you open the couple photo in Photoshop should be to go to Filter>Camera Raw, and do your "raw" processing there. The file won't respond as well as if it was an actual raw file of course, but you can fix the white balance and make some other adjustments. Then post it for me.
  15. Hey, don't give up so easily! We can still do this. Which version of Photoshop do you have?
  16. No, sorry, I meant the original photo of the couple. Was it a shot in raw format?
