  2. That sure is weird. Is it like this on every photo you try opening?
  3. Yes, but you're a long way from there yet. Gotta get back to class!
  4. Oh bummer I have to say ... your edit looks worse than the scan.
  5. Do you have the physical photo, or only this scan?
  6. There's barely any detail there, is there? I don't know how to fix this, sorry.
  7. Could you send me the raw file? https://spaces.hightail.com/uplink/BellePhotography
  8. Oh gee. White glare is the WORST Is it a raw file?
  9. May I see the original scan?
  10. Put a white Solid Color layer beneath everything, so you can properly see what it's doing.
  11. Okay, let's try a different way. Instead of doing that Levels thing, add a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer, and move Brightness to -70.

  13. Okay, I don't know why it's making a lighter version, but I think I know a way to fix it. Single-click on the mask thumbnail in the layers panel. Then press Cmd L to open a Levels window. Grab the middle slider and move it ALL the way to the left.
  14. Could you send me the file? (Saved as PSD to preserve the layer and mask) https://spaces.hightail.com/uplink/BellePhotography
  15. This is not printable.
  16. You know it doesn't
  17. Let's not waste our time with this photo. It's WAY too far out of focus.
  18. May I see a closer view of it? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
  19. Sure! Can you show me your similar photo?
  20. If you want to use this photo, you'll need to blur the front guy slightly, so he matches the back guy.
  21. I'm so sorry @JessMaree, try replying now.
  22. May I also see the other face for reference?
  23. Stop wasting your time with that stupid function, period. Just mask it like a normal person. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/10/shift-while-brushing.html
  24. It's because you're on a blank layer, yes?
  25. Image Processor is really fussy. You have to have exactly the same versions of Photoshop and Bridge running. If you have the latest Bridge but not the latest Photoshop, or vice versa, it won't work.
