I'm so sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about.

I urge you not to rename files. It gets too confusing, too fast. Just name the folders that they're in. As long as you can search for the folder (eg "Christmas 2016") you'll always be able to find your files. Don't overthink this. Just start using Bridge, it'll become second nature before you know it.

First, watch this video. Then, watch this one. See how far along that gets you, and write back if you have problems.

Come on Amanda, don't overthink this. I've showed you where the "Size and Resolution" setting is for your crop tool. That's the ONLY thing you need to know. NEVER go to the Image Size dialog, ever. Just choose your crop tool, enter the desired height and width, and the resolution that your lab requires (250 in your case). Then crop. That's all. Then sharpen for print, save the jpeg, and send it off. More info here. Change your life here. Oh, also, this one is vitally important.

You read that incorrectly (or maybe you read it correctly, but from a bad source). Resolution ALWAYS matters for print. Always. Have you checked with your lab's website (or called them) to confirm that 300ppi is their recommendation?

No no no. Those options have NOTHING to do with cropping. You're reading those options from the Image Size dialog, and that has NOTHING to do with cropping.
