Excellent. It would have been much harder if you'd asked me this after you'd done some Photoshop work.
Here's what to do:
Go to the Layer menu and choose Smart Object>Convert to Smart Object (the wording might vary depending on your version of Photoshop, but you'll find it)
Then Ctrl T to get the Transform handles, and rotate it as you wish. Press Enter/Return when you've done so, to get rid of the handles.
Image>Reveal All
Add a new blank layer, and start cloning extra blanket where you want it.
