Hi @jeanbrunsonphotography is this a new problem? I mean, have you successfully been running a laptop and an external monitor before?
If so, what's new in the equation? Is it a new laptop, or a new screen, or a new calibrator?
That statement doesn't seem to be true. In your second screenshot you have the Hand Tool actually selected. Can you show me a screenshot from when the hand tool ISN'T selected, but the space bar method is working correctly?
Step 1: Duplicate the background layer.
Step 2: Liquify the tie:
Step 3: Add a mask to that layer so that you can restore the original part of the suit so that it isn't warped any more:
I know they want you to do that, but there is also a free software option if you look for it.
You might have to scroll a long way down the page, and read all the options carefully. https://calibrite.com/us/software-downloads/
Oh yeah, that'll be easy.
Just add a dark green Solid Color layer (I suggest H167 / S92 / B24) on "Multiply" blend mode, and mask on carefully.
Using the Shift key of course: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/10/shift-while-brushing.html
Then show me.
