Hi @jeanbrunsonphotography is this a new problem? I mean, have you successfully been running a laptop and an external monitor before? If so, what's new in the equation? Is it a new laptop, or a new screen, or a new calibrator?

That statement doesn't seem to be true. In your second screenshot you have the Hand Tool actually selected. Can you show me a screenshot from when the hand tool ISN'T selected, but the space bar method is working correctly?

The calibration is probably the problem. Calibrators are very touchy in highlights. Which calibrator do you have?

Step 1: Duplicate the background layer. Step 2: Liquify the tie: Step 3: Add a mask to that layer so that you can restore the original part of the suit so that it isn't warped any more:

Hi Erica, sorry about my delayed reply. This looks like it should be a fairly straightforward job for Liquify. Have you used Liquify much before?

Oh yeah, that'll be easy. Just add a dark green Solid Color layer (I suggest H167 / S92 / B24) on "Multiply" blend mode, and mask on carefully. Using the Shift key of course: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/10/shift-while-brushing.html Then show me.
