  1. woah! that's your problem, your harddrive is entirely way too full. You need to start transferring things to an external drive and backing up your files immediately. I'm going to move your post down to Brian's section so that he can help you with that process.
  2. And where are you seeing the instructions about the use of their profiles?
  3. Ok, something is wrong in this section. You can't have more free than you have available space.
  4. Which photo labs are you referring to? Many labs offer ICC profiles for softproofing purposes only, and you would still work and edit in sRGB as always.
  5. Hi Elana, I had to shift your posts around so that they were together and in the same spot. Damien is not currently taking on editing work, but he can try to help you learn how to fix these yourself.
  6. Can you fill this out real quick? http://www.damiensymonds.net/thread1.html
  7. Are you saying that these prints were printed in AdobeRGB? That may be a problem, but usually when it is those prints come out as green/grey, not red, when a lab cannot handle AdobeRGB properly. What program are you using to view your images in? You should only be comparing them to another color managed program such as PS. And lastly, are you following along with Damien's instructions for your device? Or using the instructions that come on the box?
  8. Can we see a screenshot of what happens when you do attempt to send the images to PS?
  9. It might be helpful for you to post an example of your work? And then perhaps some examples of what you received back that didn't meet your standards? I know Damien isn't taking on editing work right now personally, but we might he able to get you in touch with the right people given your situation.
  10. The height will figure itself out and adjust automatically to maintain the aspect ratio of the image. No, ppi is not relevant at all when the images will only be viewed on the computer. All that matters are the pixel dimensions. PPI/DPI comes into play when you are resizing for print only.
  11. It's not necessarily about the number of shots as much as it is about the different elements in the image and how well PS can automatically identify the patterns and where the edges line up. Sometimes PS gets very confused.
  12. Can you post some crops for us of the images you are struggling with?
  13. I know many people who attempt to adjust the brightness of their LCD to more closely match their computer. It will never be perfect or 100% accurate, but doing so may help in some situations. And of course going outside in bright light or viewing in a dark room will make your screen appear differently too.
  14. Chelle shouldn't leave it there though, right? S/he will need to put it back on raw to continue shooting in raw, correct?
  15. If your prints match your monitor, then please - trust your prints! (Assuming of course these are prints from a professional lab and that they have not been color corrected) I would, however, make sure to take a good look at your lighting to ensure that it's plenty white and bright. More information about that is available here.
  16. You'll probably need to find a link for Damien with the color "tiffany blue" because I don't think he's going to know what you're talking about.
  17. Good catch! I didn't even notice since I was on mobile. I'll move it now to make it easier to find.
  18. I don't know much about LR - but I do know this. Your Catalog does NOT include your files. You have to manually back up your files as well. Backing up your catalog on its own is not sufficient. Please wait to start deleting things until one of the more experienced LR users of our team can come along to assist.
  19. For troubleshooting reasons, can you try importing the files again but not converting to DNG during import? Of course, we always recommend manually copying the the files to your hard drive over using the import features in either Bridge or LR.
  20. Where are you importing the images from? It could be the memory card/card reader/USB slot that is causing the issues. Have you tried manually copying the files from the card to your hardrive? Like this.
