  1. I see no reason why a blue-ish* Solid Color layer on Soft Light blend mode wouldn't work. *You'd need to fiddle carefully with the shade of blue
  2. No no no! The photo you've chosen is perfect. Post the finished one here.
  3. No, it's a VERY bad idea. Don't do it. If you're working in such terrible light that it changes every ten minutes, the solution is NOT to leave your calibrator plugged in. It's to fix your lighting situation.
  4. You've posted your SOOR, but I thought you'd done your full edit on this photo? Or am I imagining that?
  5. No, you mustn't keep your calibrated plugged in all the time. Put it safely in a cupboard until it's time to calibrate each month.
  6. I'm so sorry, I don't know anything about the Apple device But I'll be interested to hear your thoughts if you try it. No particular instructions for this monitor, just the usual instructions.
  7. Yeah, that's better. I don't think you need as much shadowing on the side of her face, to be honest.
  8. Your shadowing is much too "sharp", especially on her arm and legs.
  9. Oh, bummer. Ok, let's wing it. Let's try 600pixels high. Just to check - do you understand that all web images are measured in pixels, not inches or centimetres or anything else? So, you'd open your PSD, flatten the layers, then go to the Image Size dialog. You make sure the "Resample Image" box is checked, this is really important. Then at the top of that window you'll see the height in pixels. Change that to 600, and press ok. You'll see the image shrink (a lot) on your screen. Let me know once you've done that.
  10. Great. So the next step is to find out exactly what size they need to be. Who do you host with?
  11. Well, the method depends on the purpose. For what purpose do you need to resize?
  12. I'm so sorry, it's too old. I don't have it any more. If you've got a similar problem, please post your photo in a new thread as usual.
  13. Hang on, that looks lighter. Sorry, I meant her throat needs some shadow.
  14. I can't really see any difference, sorry.
  15. Maybe it needs some on the throat too.
  16. Now spread it more gently. So it goes a bit further around the face, but gently.
  17. Yes, that's better, but it's too strong on the side of the face, I think.
  18. It looks like you've done it with either the Lightness slider in Hue/Sat, or the white Output slider in levels. I think a normal middle slider adjustment in levels would be better.
