  1. How well did it do? Are the stars overlaid perfectly on each layer?
  2. There's more info about dodge and burn here: https://www.damiensymonds.net/simple-dodge-and-burn-tutorial.html And it's included in this video: https://www.damiensymonds.net/liquify-demonstration-cloning-dodge-burn.html And you can learn about Channel Mixer here: https://www.damiensymonds.net/channel-mixer-class
  3. First, add a Channel Mixer layer. On the Red Output Channel, enter 0, +60, +60, +12 for the four values. Then mask that layer to the flare area (and a little more around, to blend it in to the surrounding skin). Then add the two layers of the Handyman Method, and start patiently working to finalise the fix. Take your time - work with low opacity brushes. This is slow work if you want to do it well. This is what your layers panel will look like:
  4. Yes it is!!! I'm about to show you! I just didn't want to take the time if you didn't like it. Give me a minute ...
  5. Keep going. Try to get to 80. Then simply recalibrate as the first step.
  6. This is the best I can manage. Will it be good enough?
  7. Yes, I know, and this is catastrophically bad. You're wasting all the potential of your photos Please consider the class.
  8. Well, it might, or it might not. Problems caused by full hard drives are unpredictable. But even if it doesn't fix this problem, it will certainly prevent the truckload of problems which are lurking just around the corner.
  9. WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is catastrophic. Brian always recommends at least 1/3rd free space, and yours only has 1/10th. You HAVE to clear some space. You're lucky your computer even starts up. You're very lucky if a dodgy calibration is your only problem.
  10. No no no. It hasn't fixed the issue, it's just a clue about the issue. And again, it points to a problem with the calibrator, rather than with your computer or Photoshop. Next question, can you fill this out for me?
  11. Yes, for it to be all crazy green like PS! Next question - in Photoshop, if you go to Edit>Assign Profile, and assign the monitor profile instead of sRGB to the image, does it make it better, worse, or the same?
  12. The second screen I sent is from the "Save for web and devices" dialog. It doesn't matter if you don't use that one. But yes, use Save. More reading for you: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/02/trash-those-jpegs.html https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/02/multiple-images-in-one-psd.html
  13. Interesting. And it's ok? Do you have its settings just so? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2012/01/web-browsers-and-facebook.html
  14. That's pretty old for technology. It's possible it's just failing. But we need to know for sure. Let's test a few more things. Which web browser do you use?
  15. Nah, it just means that screen isn't colour-managed (doesn't draw on the monitor profile for rendering).
  16. Ok, phew. Then that probably just means it was a glitch in calibration. How many times have you calibrated just now?
  17. When you're saving a photo, make sure that checkbox is ticked. It'll look slightly different depending on your version of Photoshop, but it will always be there somewhere.
  18. There is one problem that's quite serious. Your image is untagged. This is really bad. You must ALWAYS have your profile attached to your image when saving.
  19. Hi Becky, this happens to everyone from time to time. How about Bridge? Is it ok, or displaying weirdly too? Not just your workspace. The problem is worse than that. Follow this to its conclusion to fix the colour space problem.
