  1. I mean, where is your Layers Panel, your Properties panel, and so on? It's not visible in the screenshot.
  2. Just to check - you've hit the F key a few times, just to be sure it's not that?
  3. Ok, can you show me screenshots? (Actual screenshots, not photos of your computer.)
  4. Do you mean Window>Arrange>Tile? If not that, then I guess I don't understand what you're asking. Maybe you could take a screenshot of your whole screen for me?
  5. You understand it now, yes?
  6. No, watch the video again. It's a layer, not a filter. And it's just the same in Elements as Photoshop, I promise.
  7. @Sandra , PLEASE post some photos in class. Don't waste your memberships - make me work hard for your money.
  8. Mary, PLEASE post some photos in the Raw Class. Don't let your membership waste away - make me work hard for your money. Let me see what you've been shooting; and let me help make as beautiful as it can be.
  9. @acmc, PLEASE post some photos in the classes. Don't let your membership waste away - make me work hard for your money. Post something for me?
  10. Scott, I haven't seen you post anything in class for ages. Please don't let your membership waste away - make me work hard for your money. Post something for me?
  11. @Allie, PLEASE post some photos in the Raw Class for me. Don't let your membership waste away - make me work hard for your money! Show me what you've been shooting lately, and let me help make it as beautiful as it can be.
  12. Look at (a) the blend mode, and (b) the red green and blue channels of the levels.
  13. Not a stupid question at all. Very wise to ask it, in fact. You should definitely check this before investing. Do you have ANY old desktop monitors in your house that you can plug in and try? Or, a TV with HDMI or DVI inputs that you can plug in as a temporary external monitor and calibrate? Or failing all that, a nearby friend or relative who would let you come over and try plugging in their desktop monitor and calibrating it?
  14. You can absolutely join the Raw Class now, the Standard version. Then upgrade to Deluxe once you're calibrated. And you can join the Layers & Masks one, and the Sharpening one, and the Channel Mixer one - none of them require calibration. Definitely lower your screen's brightness to match the prints more closely.
  15. Holy moley! It looks like the house is on fire, doesn't it? I don't have anything, sorry. D&B might work for the second one, but the first one is just too severe
  16. Right. The measurement window should appear on the same screen as the software window is on.
  17. I calibrate dual screens all the time and that has never happened.
  18. That definitely shouldn't be. Are you sure your main window was ENTIRELY on the desktop screen? No little part of it still on the laptop screen?
  19. What????? Why are you making this so complicated? After launching the calibration software, you just drag its window onto the screen you wish to calibrate.
  20. PLEASE post some photos in the raw class. Don't waste your membership - make me work hard for your money. Show me what you've been shooting lately, and let me help you make it as beautiful as it can be.
