  1. I trust you've read this, and watched the video? https://www.damiensymonds.net/preventing-banding-in-backdrops/
  2. Definitely DON'T use gradients on the masks. The masks must remain all white. Use as many gradient layers as you need. Maybe you'll wish to put them on a blend mode, such as "Multiply" or "Screen", but in some cases "Normal" mode will be fine. Make sure you make good use of transparency in the gradients. I want to help you more, I really do, but I need to see what you have in mind. DO NOT USE MASKS. I can't stress this enough.
  3. I need more context. What are you trying to create, exactly?
  4. Are there supposed to be images? I can't see any.
  5. What a strange one. I guess it'll have to do.
  6. If you could do this for him, that would be great.
  7. I'll move this post into the Ask Brian section.
  8. I'd hoped for a quick fix. Sometimes the Dust & Scratches filter is great for this. But for this one, I'm afraid it'll have to be a job for the Spot Healing Brush tool.
  9. This isn't perfect, but should be adequate: Download PSD
  10. I hope so too. Let's see a 100% crop of it.
  11. I don't know about the white one, but the orange one will have to go, surely?
  12. No, no rule broken.
  13. Please don't start any Levels work yourself. I need to talk to you about the starting steps. Just post this edit, as is, in the Levels Class.
  14. What clone work is left to do? It seems you've done a pretty comprehensive job to me.
  15. Ok, great. It was Hue/Saturation, exactly as you said. The kids are hollering to be fed, I'll be back shortly ...
  16. I would definitely clone out the red taillights. And I would probably minimise the car in the far left window, it's the strongest. But apart from that, don't lose any sleep over it. Can we talk about the latter, and everything else, in the Levels Class now?
  17. Ok, definitely don't convert them to TIFF. The first thing you need to do is install the dng converter and see if that converts them ok.
  18. Yeah, that'll work! Go ahead and do your raw and levels work on that, then we'll discuss the colour tweaking.
  19. Oh gee, is it your intention to put fake windows in the Physio building? I'm nervous about this.
  20. Yep, good. Once you're happy with all your pixel editing, please post it in the Levels Class for me, so we can discuss the first steps there.
