  1. No, read the instructions again
  2. I'm not Brian, but could you do this for us?
  3. I understand why you say "unfortunately", but of course it's a good thing to have technical problems out of the way. It should only be a week or two until you have an opportunity to upgrade the Raw Class.
  4. Ok, so are you satisfied that your calibrated screen matches your pro lab prints exactly?
  5. Actually, if we took a poll, I expect we might find that 17% was slightly higher than average. So yes, very typical. Yeah, no. At first, you'll think it's worse. The purpose of calibration is not to make your screen look lovely. It's to make it match your prints, period. As long as it does that, it doesn't matter how much you hate it. Believe me, when you receive your first new set of post-calibration prints, and see how they turned out exactly the way you expected, THEN you'll love it.
  6. Adobe RGB is very bad. And your 100% crop was in ProPhoto RGB, which is completely disastrous. Did you follow my troubleshooter all the way to the end, to fix the problem?
  7. After calibration, have you confirmed it against your own pro lab prints? Which lab do you use?
  8. Your focus is excellent, by the way. No problems there. But that's not to say you're in the clear with this issue. We need to explore other causes.
  9. Oh gee, you have a REALLY serious problem with your colour space. Fix it here. Which brings me to the next question - have you seen the print she's complaining about?
  10. This photo suggests that you haven't read the Raw Class that you signed up for months and months ago. Please don't wait any longer to do so. Also, please read this if you haven't already.

  12. Yeah, that's probably as clean as it's going to get.
  13. I'm so sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about.
  14. I urge you not to rename files. It gets too confusing, too fast. Just name the folders that they're in. As long as you can search for the folder (eg "Christmas 2016") you'll always be able to find your files. Don't overthink this. Just start using Bridge, it'll become second nature before you know it.
  15. First, watch this video. Then, watch this one. See how far along that gets you, and write back if you have problems.
  16. For now, go straight to Module 11. But in the next few days, as soon as you are able, re-read the whole thing, or at least from Module 5.
  17. I know, and you've clearly forgotten everything. It's cheap to renew, PLEASE do it.

  20. Nobody is going to use Dropbox photo viewer seriously, are they? You're not using it as a sales platform or anything like that, are you?
  21. Yes, no doubt those device screens aren't the best. Can you post the link here?
  22. Hi Frank, That doesn't look like banding as much as severe jpeg degradation. Are you sure you're saving at sufficient quality?

  24. Ha ha ha! Yeah, 2:30am is not peak learning time!
