  1. Gosh yes. This is fine. Please read "Part 2: Focus" of this article, especially the paragraph in bold text. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. With correct print sharpening applied, this will print a million bucks. Great.
  2. Oh gosh, your previous correspondence had me so nervous about this! This is fine. It will sharpen up perfectly. You have a greater problem, I suspect. In your correspondence you said you intended to print at 16x20. But that won't work, I suspect. Have you tried a 16x20 crop? You're going to lose the people at the sides.

  4. One month. Give me one month to change your life: http://www.damiensymonds.net/bridge-30-day-challenge If you're not willing to improve your life beyond measure, then you have to do this instead: http://www.damiensymonds.net/color-space-settings-for-the-lightroom-user.html
  5. Oh crap. http://www.damiensymonds.net/art_tscs2.html
  6. Yeah, that might work.
  7. It's a pity there's not a bit more detail, but yes, I think it's passable.
  8. Those tutorials are complete baloney, ignore them. That's right. Grey cards are useless. Only use a white balance sheet. Please don't say that. Elements is amazingly powerful. Please let me teach you how amazingly powerful it is.
  9. A Solid Color layer on Multiply blend mode.
  10. Download the PSD
  11. Well, the further you move from the existing tones, the more risky it becomes. More risk of halos when masking, I mean. How about this?
  12. Wait, come back! Please explain the problem, so I can help you solve it.
  13. How about this?
  14. No, that yellow ring is something that the screen recording software adds, it's not a Photoshop thing. Have you done this?
  15. I'll have a play with the background, and get back to you. It'll be a little later.
  16. No no. If you're happy with your calibration, and you like how the photo looks, then what I think is irrelevant.
  17. Oh yes, that's new. Only look at the top set of numbers - eg the 122/5754 in your first screenshot.
  18. How was the result? I mean, does the screen match your pro lab prints accurately?
  19. Gee, is your calibration up to date? This is quite dark.
  20. Oh my, I just took a look at your portfolio. No.
  21. It would be possible to fix with some careful levels, but it's not worth the hassle. Just clone it. I fear you're forgetting everything you've learned?
  22. Can you? Check for colour differences? This is really important.
  23. Hi Wilmae, Yes, it's not very good focus, is it? However, I'm pleased to say that I think it will be just ok. Remember to NEVER sharpen during editing, no matter how much you want to. Sharpening only happens when outputting for specific purpose. For web, do it like this. Please do not print it until you've taken the Sharpening Class.
  24. If you think you can afford Photoshop CC, definitely go for it. It's amazing.
