  1. Never mind, I think I figured it out. Back soon ...
  2. I'm so sorry, this isn't working. There's something wrong with the file. Did I ever send you a PSD file, last year? Or only the PDF?
  3. I don't have it in front of me to check at the moment - can you simply go to the Munki's Help menu to check for updates?
  4. Well, the first step is to stop working in 16-bit. http://www.damiensymonds.net/color-space-settings-for-the-lightroom-user.html
  5. Please follow my instructions here. The instructions that come with the Spyder itself are dreadful.
  6. Only Levels, and you're already in that one. Go to the Table of Contents, and read Section 2, Module 2. Raw is still raw, and sharpening is still sharpening, there is no difference between Elements and Photoshop (although I urge you to take Sharpening again, because the new module will blow your mind.) The best best BEST thing about Photoshop is that you now have Bridge. Watch this video.
  7. Ok, great. I'll work on it tomorrow morning and have something to show you.
  8. Ok, so you need a file where you can change the text colour as required, yes?
  9. Download the PSD file The top two layers are the Handyman method.
  10. This is the best I can manage:
  11. Still cold, dark and noisy. Still cold, dark and noisy.
  12. How did you go?
  13. Fixed your lighting? How's the print comparison now?
  14. Oh crap mate, you're in Adobe RGB! http://www.damiensymonds.net/art_tscs000.html This won't be easy, but I think we can fix it. First, go ahead and do your raw processing as normal, and especially don't forget the noise removal. Then post the closeup again for me.
  15. Oh wow, REALLY good! You rock!
  16. Hi Kirsten, if not black, what colour will the background be? Oh, and, what font is"photography"?
  17. oh, right, I see. Stretching won't be involved in this one at all. The sides will need to be cloned, and for the bottom, you'll need to find another photo of his shirt to put in there.
  18. No, wait, something's gone wrong here. The photo isn't 2:3 shape. It looks like you cropped it previously.
  19. Did you ever do this? From the very large drop-down list, choose your monitor profile. (Whatever name you gave it when you just calibrated with the Spyder.)
