  1. No, I've never written a tutorial about this. What you would have found was my specific advice to somebody else that applied to their specific photo. Which is why it hasn't quite worked for you here. As it happens, I think yours is an easier fix. Just sample some good hair colour, and add a Solid Color layer of that colour, set to "Color" blend mode. Then mask it on slowly and patiently with a 5% brush, until the hair blends nicely.
  2. Yay!!!!!
  3. Yep, the first one looks promising.
  4. Oh, right. Just be careful. The very first image you posted was untagged. That's REALLY dangerous when you work in Adobe RGB. Always make sure this is checked:
  5. Well, I think 1 pixel of Gaussian Blur might be enough. But gosh, I'm only guessing.
  6. Well, at least fix your darn colour space.
  7. What do the lab say about it?
  8. Oh, this is so bad. Why oh why did you ignore the offer of a Raw Class upgrade?
  9. Oh. Inkjet. That explains a great deal. I'd be fascinated to know if the same problem occurred with a photographic print. If you intend to attempt the inkjet print again, you'll need to try the smart-object-surface-blur method I outlined in the article.
  10. This method should work.
  11. Thanks. So the print was a fairly small one?
  12. No, sorry. It's very clear to even the most casual observer that the focus fell on the trees well behind the subjects.
  13. This one is also vital, and so is this one. This one is relevant too.
  14. Hi Tina, have you read this important article?
  15. Oh wow, that looks excellent!
  16. Oh! It's that much of an upgrade? Then yes, you'll need to take the Raw Class again. But for now, you can go to the "Camera Calibration" tab and choose "Process 2010" to get the sliders you're used to.
  17. Please don't worry about the 11 thing. The number on your screen is completely meaningless. If it has to be 11, or 4, or even 0, that's completely fine. If your calibrator is saying 89, that's on the high-ish end of what usually works for people. Below 70 would suggest a problem, but 70 or above is normal.
  18. Oh, right! Ok, in that case, may I see the 100% crop from the same area from your master PSD file?
  19. It's moire. Start by reading this. Let me know when you have done so, and we'll discuss further.
  20. Oh, that is such a good question! No, I'm not aware of a way, sorry.
  21. Did you go to the extent of uninstalling and reinstalling the Spyder software? Is it the laptop screen you're calibrating? Or do you have a desktop screen plugged into it?
  22. Interesting. Is it just Photoshop? What about Lightroom and Bridge?
