  1. Great! So go ahead and do your raw processing again, and watch out for it. By the way, I beg you to consider a refresher of The Raw Class. The new updated material will blow you away. As a previous member, the price is significantly discounted.
  2. Oh, sorry, I see what you mean! Yes, if you don't wish to buy a suitable overlay to use, you really would make one with sandpaper, I reckon. Probably paint black paint onto white paper, then scuff it artistically.
  3. Hmmm ... what am I looking at, exactly? The edges just look a bit blurred to me?
  4. I zoom in to about 400% and use a 6px brush (soft!) for this. And the Shift key. I can't stress this enough. NEVER use Hardness higher than 0%.
  5. I'm flummoxed, sorry. I have no idea what it would be. I assume that if you choose "Camera Raw Defaults" from the little submenu over on the right-hand side, it's still there?
  6. Yes, a closeup of the corner would be good, thanks.
  7. Ok, may I see a screenshot of your whole ACR screen (including sliders) and zoomed in to 100% on the area?
  8. You're really really not. Masking is done with Hardness at 0%. Always.
  9. What the hell??? You NEVER use a hard-edge brush for masking, EVER.
  10. What you've shown me here looks perfectly normal. I'm not sure what you're worried about.
  11. Did you notice the weirdness in your raw program, or only in Photoshop later?
  12. Terrific, thanks. Did you shoot this in raw format?
  13. And for reference, may I see the whole photo?
  14. On mine, "Shape Dynamics" is turned off, and "Smoothing" is turned on. I don't know if that helps.
  15. Because they're not adjustable. Which i1 Display? The Pro?
  16. Hi Toni, could you please take the sections like this?
  17. Sorry about my delayed reply. First, can you tell me which one Bridge matches? ACR or Photoshop?
  18. It should be as simple as choosing the crop tool, then pressing the Esc key.
  19. No problem. Let me know if you have any trouble.
  20. Download the PSD

  22. Hmmm ... not easy. What about this?
  23. With two pitiful screens like that, you can never hope for really true results. "Reasonably close" is all you can hope for. Yes, the process is the same for both screens. They're both laptop screens, essentially. Which calibrator do you have?
