  1. Hi @ShannyP20 more recently it's been split up into two panels - "Optics" and "Geometry". At least, I think that's what you're referring to.
  2. According to X-Rite's own page, GB-LED is the correct choice.
  3. No no no no no. Thank you for asking. https://www.damiensymonds.net/why-do-some-print-labs-tell-you-to-change-your-photoshop-color-settings/
  4. It should be turned off while you're editing, yes. Just turn it on to check colours before printing.
  5. What? I thought you said you had prints with reds in them? Reds that had turned dark? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2014/07/proof-setup-working-cmyk-not-really.html
  6. Anyway, the important question is, does soft-proofing make the reds look more like the print? https://www.facebook.com/groups/askdamien/posts/4143619009031601/
  7. No, that's ok. If they specifically said "Perceptual" not "Relative Colorimetric", then that's what you should do. It's definitely uncommon, but that shouldn't be surprising from stupid Millers. They certainly march to the beat of their own drum.
  8. Did the lab specifically tell you to use Perceptual? NEVER use working CMYK.
  9. Easily good enough, yes.
  10. This is great news. Can you show me a screenshot of your soft-proofing settings?
  11. /wary Yes, I have a bit. Super Resolution can't do any harm, don't worry. But it also doesn't do much good.
  12. No, it's definitely worth exploring.
  13. Don't over-complicate the sizing thing. If the image passes the 6-megapixel-test, and it passes your focus analysis, then that's all you need to worry about. Then you can just choose your Crop Tool, set the exact size and print resolution you need in the Options Bar, then crop. Then sharpen, then save.
  14. Sorry, I'm on the other side of the world from you. I couldn't possibly make recommendations.
  15. Because of sharpening. PPI is crucial for good sharpening. https://www.damiensymonds.net/art_resample.html
  16. Bummer. Yeah, a lot of labs don't make it readily available
  17. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2011/11/why-ppi-doesnt-matter-yet-another.html
  18. Right. And remember, the PPI value is completely meaningless. Don't discard any images just because they say "72".
  19. NEVER allow the lab to colour correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't find it anywhere on their site?
  20. Can you remind me, have you read this one? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2014/03/how-aggressively-can-i-crop.html
  21. I agree. It sucks. You need to find the best middle ground.
  22. Have you got your lab's soft-proofing profile?
  23. Good! It's definitely a bit blue, so your monitor must be too warm.
  24. So can you elaborate on the question for me? Are you saying that the dresses in these two prints look exactly the same colour?
