  1. Hi @BexD I'm sure Brian would like to see it. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
  2. I don't know how to fix it, sorry.
  3. Yeah, it's less noticeable in that one.
  4. Oh crikey. I can't think of a way, sorry.
  5. Regarding the colours, I'll be interested to know if this helps at all. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/03/bit-about-soft-proofing.html
  6. 1. Yes, run it again now. Set the white point target to "Native". 2. I can't speak to the sharpness, but they shouldn't be more saturated, no. 3. Any specific colours?
  7. Thanks. I'm a ROG user, and a very happy one. I'm sure you would be too. As I said, my first ROG had a real IPS screen (it was so good) and I was disappointed to have to settle for an "IPS-level" screen for my second one, but it's still ok.
  8. Hi @nadine, Brian is away this week with limited internet access, so his answer will be delayed. I'm a very poor substitute, but I'll try to offer a couple of things that I think Brian would say. Be aware that any displays that say "IPS level" aren't true IPS displays. They're pretty good (I have one) but not as good as the real IPS displays that Asus used to put in their laptops. It's a pity. I'm confused about the graphics and memory in this one. I'm afraid I can't tell whether they're good or not. The graphics seems to be integrated instead of separate, so that might be a red flag. This one doesn't have its own separate graphics memory, so I think Brian will say to avoid it. Can you find a more comprehensive list of specs for this machine? This link it is a bit light. The same warning here about the screen - "IPS level" is pretty good, but not as good as true IPS. Will you be using the screen primarily, or will you be plugging a desktop screen in to edit on?
  9. I've moved this into Brian's area because I have NFI, sorry.
  10. What else have you been working on lately, @laural?
  11. And you're sure you're double-clicking really accurately on the slider? It doesn't take much to miss it, I found.
  12. Can you do this for me? https://www.damiensymonds.net/thread1.html
  13. Oh, right, yeah, I see. That makes sense. (Although it sure is disappointing!) No, it means you'll have to manually tweak those user settings to make the screen cooler (mainly reducing red and increasing blue), then calibrating again on "Native".
  14. I saw your list, thank you. So have you tried "Normal" yet?
  15. I'm so sorry, I don't know. I also am on the current version, and it works fine for me. What happens when you try? The slider just doesn't move?
  16. And you're dead sure that your room light is good?
