  1. I completely agree with you. I have blurred sharp areas of photos many times, in order to attain consistency. It hurts my soul to blur good focus of course, but you have to do what you have to do.
  2. If you can't manage to make your screen match both of them, concentrate mainly on the WHCC ones.
  3. Gosh! https://www.damiensymonds.net/thread1.html
  4. Well, let's not rush into that just yet. What about after you've copied all the files onto your computer? Does that make any difference?
  5. That sure is odd. What about in the Preview panel? Can you see them there?
  6. Oh gee. As long as it's only colds!
  7. So are you saying that you've had to set the Luminance target to 50 on this page?
  8. The i1Display Studio? Or the i1Display Pro?
  9. Which calibrator did you end up getting?
  10. Like, an actual match? Or "I need to calibrate again to make it exact"?
  11. Has the new calibrator arrived, @Crystal Scheuermann?
  12. Treat it as a laptop. Follow my laptop calibration instructions. https://www.damiensymonds.net/calibration-instructions/
  13. May I see your Layers panel in your screenshot?
  14. While you're waiting for Brian you should definitely rectify this. https://macpaw.com/cleanmymac
  15. Yes, of course. Your brightness setting is too high. Calibrate again at 80.
  16. That sure is odd. Yes, it's most likely you'll need to do it again, with the next coolest preset. But how does the screen-to-print comparison look?
  17. Great!!! So you'll create your document at 144x48 inches, at 150ppi, in RGB mode, and the sRGB colour space. Your choice here will depend whether there ends up being text or logos or any linework in your design. If it has those things, you'll use PDF. If it's only photos, you'll use jpeg. Important information about PDFs here: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/05/making-pdfs-from-photoshop.html You don't need to worry about this. The act of saving as a PDF does this automatically. Needless to say, please write to me again any time you need help.
  18. For the record, my instructions DO tell you to switch to advanced. How did the calibration turn out?
  19. Unrelated to your question, but NEVER do this. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2015/07/smart-objects-what-theyre-for-and-what.html
  20. Also, make sure you run Glary once a month. https://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/22347-glary01/
  21. Ah, that sounds more like it. This all looks very normal. I'd say you've done everything you can. So your job, from now on, is to prevent C drive filling up any more. Make sure all your photos go on D drive.
