Mine says "Scan for hardware changes" the same as yours. Give it a try.

I'm not sure what instructions you've seen, but the way I do it is hold down the Windows key and hit the S key, which brings up my search bar, then I type "device manager". When I launch Device Manager I see the Display Adaptor as one of the options.

The Brightness slider should definitely be at the top of that window. But this is more than just a brightness problem, because your Resolution field is also greyed out. It smells like a graphics driver issue to me.

Can you scroll up a bit? I need to see what's above the "Color profile" bit.

The photos you posted above (yours) look like SOORs. They don't seem to have any Levels work done at all?
