  1. Yes, the focus is very good.
  2. Yes, the focus is good.
  3. I'm so sorry @Patrice, for all the "magic" of modern software, nothing can create focus where focus doesn't exist. This photo is what it is, I'm afraid.
  4. May I see the whole photo?
  5. May I see the whole photo?
  6. Yeah, again, you should get away with this.
  7. Gee, that's pretty good, considering. I think you can get away with it, if you have none better.
  8. No, I'd allow that much time for that many files on my computer, and it has twice as much RAM as yours.
  9. I'm so sorry, I've got nothing
  10. Sorry, I can't give feedback on editing outside of the Deluxe class.
  11. All I can suggest is to add a Hue/Saturation layer. Don't touch the "Master" channel. On the Reds channel move the Saturation slider to -100. Then on all the remaining channels (Yellow thru Magenta) move their Lightness sliders to +100.
  12. I'm sorry, I don't know of a way. Sometimes there's a Channel Mixer trick, but one doesn't present itself here.
  13. Yes. ALL noise must be removed in raw.
  14. Sometimes 16-bit is very necessary ... but most of the time 8-bit is adequate. 16-bit is only necessary for photos that will require significant tonal adjustments in Photoshop. The most common of these is backlit hazy photos that need black balance, as you'll learn in the Advanced Levels Class (please don't wait too long). It's foolish to edit everything in 16-bit.
  15. It's called "Large Document Format" in the file format list in the save dialog. In my version, it's the second option, right under PSD. Are you sure you don't have it? Why are you in 16-bit?
  16. It should allow you to save as a PSB file, yes? I assume you're working in 16-bit?
  17. Yes, the Graphics Processor was going to be my suggestion too. Can you do this for me?
  18. Yes, definitely. Everything must be set to sRGB. That's weird. You mean it does absolutely nothing when you click the "Open Image" button?
  19. I don't have a solution for this photo at all, sorry. The background behind the hair is just too varied. May I see a 100% crop of the area at the top of Dad's head?
  20. I can't tell for sure at this size, but I suspect you forgot your noise removal.
  21. What sort of templates are they, @Cindy?
  22. If you're getting a good calibration (finally!) with your current calibrator, then no, I wouldn't bother upgrading.
  23. Hooray!!!! Thanks for asking. Of course you can ask them wherever you find more convenient. But yeah, I'd prefer them on FB.
  24. It might be possible to use Liquify to squash it down a little bit, at least.
