Hi Kendra, have you run WinDirStat to get a good visual view of what's taking up the most space? Also, have you run CleanUp! to make sure all the useless clutter has gone? No, you're mixing Bridge up with Lightroom. Bridge can be anywhere, and nothing gets messed up. However, I wouldn't recommend moving Bridge (please understand that I am no Brian, I'm just filling in time until he gets here). Instead, I recommend making a new folder on your D drive called "Bridge Cache Don't Delete" or whatever; then in Bridge, go to Edit>Preferences and to the Cache tab. In there, you'll see where you can choose to have your cache folder. Choose the new folder on your D drive. By default, its cache is probably on C, and that hurts a bit. Also, while you're in that window, hit "Compact Cache".

Sir, Lightroom isn't even the best workflow for raw files. It's DEFINITELY not the best workflow for scanned files. Use Bridge. But yes, I would suggest noise removal, as well as other adjustments such as Exposure and White Balance, in ACR before proceeding to Photoshop. The effectiveness of the noise removal will depend on the uniformity of the noise, I figure. Some extra care, eg with Dust & Scratches filter, will likely be needed in PS as well.

Oh crap, sorry. I meant to say it has to be strongly backlit like your photo as well. See how there are VERY strong shadows (and a sun!) in your photo, but none in this photo?

Lightroom has no role here. There is no "back to Lightroom to carry on the editing to the completion".

Because a big chunk of the shirt logo intersects with the child's hair, it's not possible to cleanly remove the logo altogether. So I'd recommend removing the top half.
