  6. What does your printer manual advise? Usually print resolution is 300ppi, but some differ.
  7. Ok, great. Well, it should be a very simply matter of adding a white Solid Color layer, and masking it on. No gradients needed, nor any noise. Very straightforward.

  17. The reason this style works is that there's nothing black, or even particularly dark, in the photo. So no, your guy has dressed badly for this situation.

  19. No. For that I'd make a new blank document, and File>Place your master PSD into it.
  20. No, it's the top group you need to mask.
