  1. Ooh ... tricky one. Could you send me one of the file pairs? https://spaces.hightail.com/uplink/BellePhotography
  2. Any backdrop change is as easy, or as dreadfully difficult, as the frizziness of the subjects' hair. If you're shooting baldies, you're sweet
  3. Can we talk about it in the Raw Class first please?
  4. I can't help you unless you POST those images!
  5. If you calibrated to V2 the first time, maybe try V4? https://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/32032-xelite-07/
  6. It should be enough to ensure that the viewer's eyes don't get drawn there, so that's good.
  7. How odd. How many files have you tried? Do they all show the same problem?
  8. Hi @mporta, this is the best I can manage: https://max.mailbigfile.com/027cf4d0ad5206dc9df54b6471f3d7b6/listFiles.php I hope it's ok.
  9. This is fairly common, and I promise, it doesn't matter a bit. You can safely leave it off.
  10. Anything and everything. I don't mind at all.
  11. What??? I showed you how I did it! Look at my layers in the file!
  12. How bizarre. Have you tried this? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/10/how-to-properly-re-install-spyder.html
  13. And that's the same laptop you used to have your old screen attached to? What make/model was your old screen?
  14. Hi @Brittany Elle S., maybe this? https://max.mailbigfile.com/abfea001c260221e0dbdb62005122b76/listFiles.php
  15. Dark room for calibration is useful, but IMMEDIATELY after the calibration is finished you must turn the lights back up to full brightness (or open the blinds, or whatever) so that you can compare the screen to prints in proper bright lighting.
  16. Calibrating your screen at night time is fine, as long as the artificial light in your room is as bright as daylight. There should be no (well, negligible) difference in the light around your computer 24/7. Yeah, see how it goes.
  17. I'm always so regretful to say this, but there might be a problem with the calibrator. Is there another computer in the house that you can try calibrating, to see if it also gives you a weirdly low brightness result?
  18. Wow. 20 is only about a quarter of the brightness of how a screen should normally be. Is that how it looks and feels to you as well?
  19. Ok. So when you're at this stage ... ... you're having to take "Current" down to 20.1 to get a print match?
  20. @Gabby Jeffcoat, can you remind me which calibrator you have?
  21. Blimey, this is really really awful. Are you SURE your screen matches your prints?
