  1. Ok, now that you've found those buttons, go ahead and calibrate again.
  2. Can you find me a link to the user manual of your screen? Are you sure your light is ok? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2012/01/light-around-your-computer.html
  3. Hi @Suri T, just to check, were you following my exact directions here? https://www.damiensymonds.net/calibration-instructions/
  4. Hi @Victoria Knight which calibrator do you have?
  5. I can't discuss class matters outside of class; and the colour of your photo is definitely a Raw Class issue.
  6. You know I can't discuss that here.
  7. I'm not quite sure what you're asking; but if you're seeing reassurance about the brightness, I'd say it looks good.
  8. Yep, should be good enough.
  9. Ok, first apply this Channel Mixer layer to all of them. R +100, 0, 0, 0 G +87, 0, 0, -6 B +80, 0, 0, -9 (Make sure you get those numbers in EXACTLY the right order.) Then use the Handyman Method to fix whatever problems are left.
  10. Oh hell. Ok, show me some.
  11. Right, that's where we start. Go ahead and recalibrate following the troubleshooting part of my instructions. It's only necessary for photos with very vivid colours. Assuming you followed my print guidelines, you aren't using any photos with very vivid colours. So the answer is, don't use soft-proofing at this stage.
  12. Oh heck. How many?
  13. Gosh, it looks fantastic from here!
  14. The Patch Tool looks like this:
  15. That's not the Patch Tool.
  16. The Channel Mixer layer turns it to grey. The blurring was done with the patch tool.
  17. 1. Try White LED for the first calibration. 2. That feature is only for laptop screens. You're not calibrating a laptop screen. It sounds like you're still reading the wrong instructions? 3. Leave it on Standard.
  18. Have a look at the individual channels in the Levels layer. See the little menu that says "RGB"? Pull that down.
  19. Have you examined each layer?
  20. As long as they're clean. Nothing crazy.
  21. I'm all for those profiles. Well, never the black-and-white ones of course.
