1. Try White LED for the first calibration. 2. That feature is only for laptop screens. You're not calibrating a laptop screen. It sounds like you're still reading the wrong instructions? 3. Leave it on Standard.

Have a look at the individual channels in the Levels layer. See the little menu that says "RGB"? Pull that down.

I do have something you could try. It's not perfect by any means, but I think it helps. Add a Photo Filter layer with these settings: Then go to the Blend If Sliders and split the white one on the Underlying Layer, and take it almost all the way to the other end. Then show me.
