  1. Yes. Your computer is smart enough to know when you plug it back in again, and it will remember that it is calibrated. Does that make sense? This is a really really really really really REALLY FUCKING BAD IDEA. Please read the very last paragraph in this article. You should have chosen two different names for the two different calibrations, yes. Do you remember what they were?
  2. Holy crap!!!!!! https://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/17263-scanner01/ It's astonishing that your computer even starts up. Also, this one: https://ask.damiensymonds.net/topic/22347-glary01/
  3. https://www.damiensymonds.net/thread1.html
  4. I just woke up. Give me a few minutes to take a look at your screenshot.
  5. That's just because you've been lucky up til now.
  6. Yep, you'll learn about that at the beginning of the Layers & Masks Class. Let's not be hasty Finish the Bridge Class first.
  7. PLEASE stop relying on other people's skills for your editing. https://www.damiensymonds.net/trainingraw.html
  8. Now hold on. That's not a job for presets. That's a job for good clean processing. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2012/09/what-is-clean-processing.html
  9. Hi @zlm, That depends if they include data pertaining to functions which only exist in CC. There aren't many such functions, but you might get stung all the same. Honestly, don't waste your time with presets. Just post here so I can help you do it yourself.
  10. Thanks, I just emailed you.
  11. Wonderful! So you're ready to start the Raw Class now? Actually, I'd recommend starting with the Bridge Class first. It's only ten dollars, and gives you an excellent basis for the rest of your workflow.
  12. Did you restart Photoshop after you changed the setting?
  13. Which screen gives you a better print match?
  14. In Photoshop go to Preferences>Performance, and uncheck the box that says "Use Graphics Processor". (I think that's what it's called.)
  15. What did you end up getting, @Dianna Cameron?
  16. I urge you to consider the Bridge Class. It's only ten dollars, and it's packed full of really important info.
  17. Not strange at all. Very common, actually. It's why I never let Bridge (or any other program) get photos from the card for me.
  18. Take Bridge out of the equation for a moment. How about plain old copy and paste from card to computer?
  19. So ... why had you begun using "Export" somewhere along the way?
  20. It doesn't do the weird size thing when you do sensible ol' Save As?
  21. No, I really wouldn't. As soon as you do that you're committed to paying monthly for your software for the rest of your days. Your CS6 is excellent. And of course uninstall Lightroom.
  22. Yes, but why? Everything I've ever taught you has been about saving. Why are you suddenly exporting?
  23. Darn it, please answer the question. Why are you exporting? I don't understand why you included this. What does sharpening have to do with anything?
