  1. Yeah, of course. It was ever thus. The only completely reliable view is 100%. 50% and 25% are ok. The others are terrible.
  2. Toward the bottom of this page: https://www.damiensymonds.net/act_webX.html
  3. That's correct. Sharpening for projector is the same as sharpening for web, in my opinion.
  4. In years past, the poor screens on laptops meant we couldn't even consider them as viable options. Nowadays, there are more laptops being made with IPS screens, so our options are much broader. I have an Asus "Republic of Gamers" laptop and its screen is exquisite. However, on thing never changes. I wrote about it at the end of this article.
  5. Is this the same camera you've always used? If so, can you open a previous file from it, and make sure it's not doing this too?
  6. According to Google, it's very easy. https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT202945 By the way, can you read this to make sure you're doing it properly?
  7. Don't worry about that for now. I just want to know if you can still save individual PDFs ok.
  8. Also with PDF presentation? What about plain Save As?
  9. It's probably akin to this one, but nowhere near as aggressive of course.
  10. Soft-proofing in Photoshop is a possibility, but not one we'll explore until you have the other set of prints. For now, simply make sure this is correct: https://www.damiensymonds.net/art_tscs000.html
  11. Hi Megan, Are you mainly noticing this difference in skintones? Is it evident in other colours as well? In my experience with these screens, the setting on the screen itself should remain on Standard. Definitely not sRGB, it's too restrictive. Are you confident about your prints? Are they from a reputable pro lab?
  12. Then move it below Layer 1. Then clip Layer 1 to it.
  13. Can't you just double-click on the black oval thumbnail in the layers panel? It's a vector shape already, so you can change it to any colour you want.
  14. Hey Mel, may I see a screenshot of your layers panel?
  15. Download the PSD file The first layer, Channel Mixer, should be the same for every photo. The second one, Dodge and Burn, will need to be manually done for each photo, and will take the longest time of the whole process. Still, it shouldn't take too long. The top layer, the colour one, will also need to be tweaked a little for each photo. Let me know how it goes.
  16. Yep, I think this might work, eh? Stand by, I'll upload a PSD ...
  17. May I have one more 100% crop to see if my recipe works there too?
