  1. I have no record of that? You've only taken the Layers & Masks Class, I think.
  2. No no no, you mustn't assume that. You must look again at 100% after resizing for print, then again after sharpening, exactly as the article says.
  3. Ah, yes, Facebook does that. http://www.damiensymonds.net/art_facebook.html
  4. Yep, you got it.
  5. I told you, there's nothing there. This is a problem with your screen or your calibration.
  6. That's because you haven't taken the Levels Class yet. It will rock your world, I promise.
  7. Yeah, this is a bugger. You might need to sharpen each image one at a time. The spacing looks uneven on either side of the middle image.
  8. That's wonderful. No, definitely DON'T do any resizing or cropping or anything. Just place the PSD files directly into your layout, exactly as I taught you in the Layers & Masks Class.
  9. This is a question for the Levels Class. Please post it there.
  10. No, it's absolutely fine. In fact, the noise layer is too strong, it only needs to be 10% opacity, not 20%. If you're seeing banding, it's a problem with your screen or calibration, not your file.
  11. I think you've done a spectacularly good job (apart from some masking you'll need to tidy up). I don't imagine it's possible to do any better.
  12. It's not overexposed, not by a long way. If it looks overexposed to you, you have a serious problem with your screen. I urge you to invest in a monitor calibrator as quickly as possible.
  13. You must NEVER do that. Lightroom is a raw program, and all raw processing must be done BEFORE Photoshop work, NEVER after. You must apply the filter effect in Photoshop. Show me what the filter effect looks like, and I'll tell you how to do it. Furthermore, this.
  14. It'll be the "Blend If" sliders. http://mbf.cc/VZeSFL
  15. Did you try a pink Solid Color layer on "Color" blend mode? That should be easiest.
  16. Sorry I forgot to ask earlier - may I see it?
  17. Fair enough. In the meantime, if you'd like to find an example photo that matches one of yours, I can help you achieve its effect.
  18. No. We really need a photo that has that strong rim light.
  19. I know it will be of little comfort when I say that you're not the only person this happens to. Even less comfort when I say I don't know why it happens! First, I'd recommend doing this.
  20. That I don't know, I'm so sorry.
  21. Sure! I look forward to helping you, these are fun. Post your photos once you have them. Remember, this kind of work lives or dies by the photos you take. Get the lighting as plausible (matching) as possible, and think carefully about the angles and the depth of field.
  22. Yes.
  23. Hooray!!! Do you see how much better that is?
