  1. Be careful of the dark halo around her face in the second one.
  2. The files you uploaded here were grayscale mode. How did that happen?
  3. No! Too cold. Read modules 5 and 6 again and again and again and again until they stick.
  4. Yep, that shouldn't be too hard. Go ahead and do your raw processing, then post the photo again and we'll discuss the clothing.
  5. Of course. Which one do you want to change?
  6. For sure. Just search "perspective" on my site.
  7. Yeah, that's REALLY old now. Maybe all your ports are USB 3, and the device can't cope? I'm not sure. It's a moot point anyway, because your new screen is very likely LED, and the old X-Rite devices don't work well for LED screens, we're told.
  8. So are you definitely dragging and dropping, as I explained from about 7:20 onwards in the video?
  9. Sure, this is pretty standard stuff. Did you browse the files? PLEASE take the Raw Class, pronto.
  10. Then why the heck are you asking how to convert to black-and-white??? Did you even read the class? The Layers & Masks one, for learning about the different layer types. No.
  11. Bringing out the extra texture would be equivalently done in Photoshop with a USM or High Pass layer, I assume. A pixel layer. And as such, you might as well just use the NIK filter, since the effect on the workflow is the same - it would be a pixel layer either way.
  12. Whoa. You must NEVER convert to black-and-white by making your photo Grayscale mode. That's really bad.
  13. Fellow Thermomixer here I think the bedroom looks better.
  14. I don't think it has been asked before It's new to me. It seems just as likely to be a mouse issue as a keyboard one. Are you using a mouse, tablet or trackpad?
  15. Hi Nicole, do you mind posting the actual files of those photos also? Thanks.
  16. When you choose the Ellipse tool, look at the Options Bar. Somewhere up there (probably close to the left-hand end, but it varies by version) there will be an option for "Shape/Path/Fill". You have to make sure yours is set to Path. Also, make sure, in the Layers panel, you have the layer mask selected, not the layer thumbnail. I mean, click on the white box thumbnail to make sure it has a little border around it.
  17. What??? Because it's tiny, of course!!! I didn't give you that file just to use. I gave it to you so you could copy the steps on your own full-size file.
  18. Good, but you'll also need to paint (at low opacity) on the pink cast on the floor too.
