Hi Brian, I'm asking this on Lara's behalf ... she's looking at getting a docking station, because she's got so many screens and other things connected to her laptop. Do you have any general advice about what to look for in a station? Her laptop is a Dell, should she only be looking at Dell stations?

Just duplicate the Background layer. Change that new layer's blend mode to "Color". Then apply enough gaussian blur to get rid of the colour stripes. Then mask.

Its specs look good, yes. But no matter what screen you have, you need a calibrator. So if your immediate budget can only fit a screen OR a calibrator, it must be the calibrator first.
