  1. Then show me. Show me a screenshot of your layers panel.
  2. PLEASE read my instructions and follow them correctly.
  3. May I see?
  4. Hi Brian, I'm asking this on Lara's behalf ... she's looking at getting a docking station, because she's got so many screens and other things connected to her laptop. Do you have any general advice about what to look for in a station? Her laptop is a Dell, should she only be looking at Dell stations?
  5. PLEASE come back to the Raw Class, @Kiwiellis!
  6. Just duplicate the Background layer. Change that new layer's blend mode to "Color". Then apply enough gaussian blur to get rid of the colour stripes. Then mask.
  7. I can't see lines in your 100% crop?
  8. As with all moire, I need to see it at 100% please. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
  9. Yeah, don't worry, all of the modern devices will work with everything. https://www.damiensymonds.net/which-monitor-calibrator-to-buy/
  10. Its specs look good, yes. But no matter what screen you have, you need a calibrator. So if your immediate budget can only fit a screen OR a calibrator, it must be the calibrator first.
  11. Have you done this? https://www.damiensymonds.net/art_tscs000.html

  14. Phew! Yes, because the light in your room is completely terrible, as we've already established.
  15. Gee I hope you're wrong
  16. No, darn it. Stop sending off for new prints. We just need to make your screen match the prints you already have.
  17. Yes, that can be tricky. It's why I hate lamps in editing spaces so much. Gosh I hope not. I hope you'll be able to raise it.
  18. At the very least those lamps should be more beside or slightly behind you, so that they're nowhere near your field of vision.
  19. Then you'll have to start editing during the day.
  20. Time to move to a different room, yes?
  21. I can't remember if I've ever asked you this, but could I see a photo of your room?
