  1. This is great news. Can you show me a screenshot of your soft-proofing settings?
  2. /wary Yes, I have a bit. Super Resolution can't do any harm, don't worry. But it also doesn't do much good.
  3. Don't over-complicate the sizing thing. If the image passes the 6-megapixel-test, and it passes your focus analysis, then that's all you need to worry about. Then you can just choose your Crop Tool, set the exact size and print resolution you need in the Options Bar, then crop. Then sharpen, then save.
  4. Sorry, I'm on the other side of the world from you. I couldn't possibly make recommendations.
  5. Because of sharpening. PPI is crucial for good sharpening. https://www.damiensymonds.net/art_resample.html
  6. Bummer. Yeah, a lot of labs don't make it readily available
  7. https://www.damiensymonds.net/2011/11/why-ppi-doesnt-matter-yet-another.html
  8. Right. And remember, the PPI value is completely meaningless. Don't discard any images just because they say "72".
  9. NEVER allow the lab to colour correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't find it anywhere on their site?
  10. Can you remind me, have you read this one? https://www.damiensymonds.net/2014/03/how-aggressively-can-i-crop.html
  11. I agree. It sucks. You need to find the best middle ground.
  12. Good! It's definitely a bit blue, so your monitor must be too warm.
  13. So can you elaborate on the question for me? Are you saying that the dresses in these two prints look exactly the same colour?
  14. That's the WORST, isn't it? Are they all from exactly the same print batch? That's likely to be a soft-proofing issue, not a calibration one. I'd ignore that print at this stage.
  15. Gosh, that makes this so hard to diagnose, doesn't it? I suppose you won't have a chance to see it in person?
  16. Have you see the canvas yourself? Or has she just told you about it and sent you this photo?
  17. Gee, it should print fine. Describe "terrible". What was wrong with it, exactly?
