  1. Holy moley! It looks like the house is on fire, doesn't it? I don't have anything, sorry. D&B might work for the second one, but the first one is just too severe
  2. Right. The measurement window should appear on the same screen as the software window is on.
  3. I calibrate dual screens all the time and that has never happened.
  4. That definitely shouldn't be. Are you sure your main window was ENTIRELY on the desktop screen? No little part of it still on the laptop screen?
  5. What????? Why are you making this so complicated? After launching the calibration software, you just drag its window onto the screen you wish to calibrate.
  6. PLEASE post some photos in the raw class. Don't waste your membership - make me work hard for your money. Show me what you've been shooting lately, and let me help you make it as beautiful as it can be.
  7. Ok, the first thing to try is Edit>Preferences>General, and hit the "Reset all warning dialogs" button. I'm not optimistic, but we need to try the simple things first. Have you checked to make sure the other Transform functions still work ok?
  8. @Lori B., PLEASE post some photos in the Raw Class for me. Make me work hard for your money. Show me what you've been shooting lately, and let me help you make it as amazing as possible.
  9. Hi @Erin6797, PLEASE post some photos in the Raw Class for me. Make me work hard for your money. I want to help you make your portfolio as beautiful as it can be.
  10. @sdiva1982, PLEASE post some photos in the Raw and Levels classes for me. Make me work hard for your money. I want to help you make your portfolio as amazing as it can be.
  11. Hi @Amberleec, PLEASE post some photos in the Levels Class. Make me work hard for your money. I want to help make your portfolio as amazing as it can be.
  12. Hi Melissa, PLEASE post some photos in the Levels Class. Make me work hard for your money. I want to see what you're working on, and help you make it amazing.
  13. Did it give you good news or bad news?
  14. Almost certainly yes, but of course do some testing and see.
  15. Have you tried it yet?
  16. The thing about dodge and burn is, some people try to use it for major editing of their photos. That's not what it's for. It's only for fixing little areas, like bits of troublesome shadow, or double chins, etc, as shown. Major editing must be done with Levels as usual.
  17. This one is the ONLY one to use. It's by far the easiest, and it rocks. Here is a tutorial on it: https://www.damiensymonds.net/simple-dodge-and-burn-tutorial.html There is also a demonstration in this video: https://www.damiensymonds.net/liquify-demonstration-cloning-dodge-burn.html I used it here: https://www.damiensymonds.net/double-chin-fix-without-liquify/ And it is most important when combined with the colour fix layer of the Handyman Method: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2015/04/the-handyman-method.html NEVER use the dodge and burn tools. They're far too clumsy - having to switch between tools, and settings, all the time is incredibly time-consuming. As you yourself described: It's absolutely not worth the hassle. And this one is the same - WAY too clumsy switching between layers:
  18. Hi Jacquie, this is what you need: https://www.damiensymonds.net/art_tscs2.html
  19. I'm about to shut down for the night. I look forward to hearing if there's any improvement after you recalibrate.
  20. Yes, but you can drag them wherever you want, yes?
  21. See in this screenshot, just below the "Extend" option, there's a checkbox about "make this my main display"? You can choose which of your screens you want to be the main one - that is, the one with the task bar on. Try both and see which you prefer.
