  1. oh, right, I see. Stretching won't be involved in this one at all. The sides will need to be cloned, and for the bottom, you'll need to find another photo of his shirt to put in there.
  2. No, wait, something's gone wrong here. The photo isn't 2:3 shape. It looks like you cropped it previously.
  3. Did you ever do this? From the very large drop-down list, choose your monitor profile. (Whatever name you gave it when you just calibrated with the Spyder.)
  4. Further to this, I'd be interested to know what you see if you download and open my PSD file.
  5. I can't remember if I've already asked - have you tried these? http://www.damiensymonds.net/2015/09/black-boxes-and-other-weird-behaviour.html
  6. Did you view it in your browser, AND download it and open it in Photoshop?
  7. Yeah!! Well, I'd hoped for cream, but if that's all you've got, we can probably work with it. But you'll need to be further back to give yourself more room; and slightly higher, so you're looking down a bit more, yes?
  8. A bathtowel or something? It just needs to be just enough texture to blend with the existing texture in the photos.
  9. Got something with some more texture?

  11. Wouldn't you want it to be seamless? Just one colour flowing back?
  12. Yep, it's great.
  13. I don't think the lighting is much of an issue. It's just nice even light, nothing too harsh or directional. Do NOT try to do this digitally only. It'll look dodgy every time.
  14. I can't see it, no, but from what you describe, I'd say gentle low-opacity cloning would be the solution.
  15. Yep, I reckon this is feasible. It won't be exactly easy, but I'm confident it's possible. I think you should set up the rug/backdrop exactly how you want it in your studio. I'd suggest cream if possible. Put a wine bottle or something where the kid would be, to focus on. Once you have a few photos of the setup, we can talk about the transposition.
  16. What about if you add a gradient layer? Do you see it then too?
  17. Sharpening only happens for output, whether it be print or web. So definitely never apply it before sending to PS.
  18. This is a great question. I can't think of anything, apart from, of course, getting the white balance right. Let's see if anyone else has advice.
  19. No you didn't. My instructions clearly say: Editing in the dark is madness. Completely terrible. http://www.damiensymonds.net/2012/01/light-around-your-computer.html
  20. Hi Julia, which X-Rite do you have? Are you following my instructions here?
  21. Silver lining. Time to do it properly. http://www.damiensymonds.net/act_web.html
  22. I'm so sorry, I don't even know what Proselect is.
